I think the best bet for winter is 4 x 225/45/18 on any rims that you like. Steel wheels are a great option for winter. Some people despise the look - to each their own.

Not just same type.... Same rims. I pounded them back round and re-balanced them both. Silky smooth again.

Just a word of caution.. I had 2 rims damaged by normal sized potholes with this setup. I think these steelies are pretty soft - which made straightening them fairly easy as well. I do not regret the purchase, and I would do it again, but they are not as strong as I expected them to be. Or...
