If you are going to continue to mod and possibly race the car - JB4 hands down. If you just want a noticeable bump in performance and will stay satisfied with that - Race chip will be fine.

A DCT actually is more expensive than a standard auto. Industry is moving away from DCT for high torque applications. I'm glad we are not DCT - one less worry! ;)

When I first saw them come out at the DC Autoshow - I thought to myself "there is no way people would pay that kind of money for a KIA!"

I got my car back from extensive battle damage repairs (hit by Ford Exploder) with replaced upper control arm, power steering rack and axle. The steering had to be calibrated at the dealer. I have not driven the car in a loooong month (I really missed her!) but as I drive it now it feels like...

M'Kehyah is a GT/AWD with OEM 18" wheels and the original all season (low performance) tires. She understeers too easily IMHO (coming from a Mitsu Ralliart Sportback with Eibach Pro Kit and wider 225/45/18 tires on the OEM rims). Can not/will not rotate. She just 'plows' like mom's '80s...

This topic is not a poll to discuss. It is an engineering question. And KIA would not say (and rightly so) to protect warranty. So we only have speculation until a statistically significant number of trannys fail...
