    RaceChip USA Kia Stinger Tuning

I thought it was clear that the problem occurs with or without chip. KIA should pay, but instead they are putting a sticker over the fuel requirements in the owner's manual saying "premium recommended." They already updated other materials to say that a long while back.

Best Reliable Power Increase and Keeping Your Warranty With It?

If keeping the warranty is your first priority, you have no options for any significant increase. That's the nature of this game. The more serious any failure on the car, the more extensively KIA will search for reasons to blame the owner. So, you have to judge for yourself which items are...

    LSD in an AWD???

Subaru already has this same system. I haven't bothered to look, but if everyone else doesn't have it yet, they will soon. As mentioned above, great for the average Joe. Not a suitable replacement for someone looking for a real LSD. It should be an option on any higher-trim Stinger.

    LSD in an AWD???

You don't seem to understand how these things work. The braking is the torque vectoring because there is no LSD.

    LSD in an AWD???

Explained perfectly. G70 has it standard equipment because it's supposed to be/is being marketed as "sporty." So should the Stinger have it at least as an option.

    LSD in an AWD???

Sorry, Kazz is right. It's about handling and torque vectoring, which can be controlled electronically with the LSD, too, by the way (see Nissan GT-R, Subaru WRX STi, etc.). Brake-based torque vectoring is the poor cousin to doing it properly with a LSD. Lots of lower-end cars have and...

    LSD in an AWD???

Same as on the RWD! Should have been an option from the get go. Standard on Genesis G70 AWD sister car. Of course it will fit, but is there a software update required to prevent interference from the brake-based torque vectoring?? That's the big question...

Running E85 blend on the Stinger

None, according to the owner's manual. "E85" fuel is an alternative fuel comprised of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline, and is manufactured exclusively for use in Flexible Fuel Vehicles. ?E85? is not compatible with your vehicle. Use of ?E85? may result in poor engine performance and...

OEM Center Console+Cup Holder with Cover Group Buy

Why reply to a troll? We could all go into every thread and say that whatever enthusiast topic we're not 100% interested in is a waste of time or needless. Only exactly what I want or need is important and should be discussed. This forum is for adults, not juveniles. I would go so far as to...

Wheel spacers on the Kia Stinger

Great discussion... Let's figure-out what is the max offset that can be added without inducing ANY rubbing of the tires on wheel wheel/liner/etc.

    Kia Stinger Magnaflow Exhaust

Great experiment and possibly the simplest and cheapest mod for everyone to start with (unless replacing exhaust system anyway). Look forward to hearing about the results.

How loud do you want your Kia Stinger exhaust to be?

What might change things is the electronics side of the equation. If Milltek has already successfully worked with other manufacturers on the integration of the physical exhaust and valves with drive modes, rpm signals, etc., suddenly a less favoured supplier becomes favoured. I have no idea if...

How loud do you want your Kia Stinger exhaust to be?

Who knows? If KIA was using Milltek for their global Stinger program, it would make sense that they were not developing something "retail." On the other hand, we have no way to corroborate what is coming or not coming for these cars because KIA chooses to keep customers and potential customers...

How loud do you want your Kia Stinger exhaust to be?

The perfect solution. Why the hell isn't this available elsewhere or even standard on top of the line models?? Doesn't have to be the Aussie version, just something that works the same way (e.g., Milltek from UK). All the serious competitors already have this type of bi-modal exhaust.

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

Not sure, but the Lumen one or whichever one Kia is testing for broader use surely will be a properly integrated system that doesn't bypass any emissions equipment or cause undue sound issues. Like the ones already available from the factory on many other cars for many years, including the...

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

Agree that rpm-activated makes sense, but road speed does not.
  17. M

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

Sure, so how does it operate in Comfort then? There are usually three modes for these systems (On, Off and RPM activated). How they match those with the drive modes is important and could be smart or dumb. Custom is especially important.
  18. M

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

What is the third mode? RPM activated? And it is an option added to the Custom mode menu choices (I sure hope)?

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

The equivalent is already on several other European vehicles such as the one I drive--Volvo Polestar.
