This is an absolute bargain; a bimodal system equipped with mid pipes. For most brands, it would cost over double to mix and match a bimodal catback with a set of mid pipes which are the more important factor in this equation.

I don't know much about their specifications (other than the resulting ride height reduction). I will tend to pick one that has more linear rate (not progressive rate). As far as quality, both are about equal.

I think so. The stock size is 225 and the lower wheel offset should allow more clearance with the strut housing. If more sidewall is desired, going with 245/45/18 provides a taller sidewall (0.7" bump in overall diameter or 0.35" bump in ground clearance) which provides more cushion against...

I doubt it will be the same material, but at this point, restoring the functionality of a busted section of exhaust pipe is a whole lot cheaper and will hold you off until you can get that nice aftermarket exhaust pipes you have always wanted.

There's a chance that it is a defect somewhere around the TC; could be fluid, could be a manufacturing problem, loose flexplate bolt, etc. GM has been going through an iteration of ATF to fix shuddering and Toyota has a "flare up" problem. Who knows what this transmission has.
